Shavanah Taj is a Trade Unionist and is the only Muslim woman to have been appointed as National Officer in the largest civil service trade union as well as the only Muslim woman to be leading a trade union in Wales. On top of this she is a Labour Party activist, community activist and campaigner for global justice and equality. From Wales, she is a mother, a Muslim and a feminist.
