Abira is a Transforming Archive Trainee, led by the National Archive in collaboration with the London Metropolitan Archives. Whilst managing to carve out an explorative career she is also undertaking a research residency with the British Library exploring their digitised collections and is completing an MRes in Clinical Research at Imperial College. On top of that, she is also working on a Somali digital project called Healing Through Archives which delves into subjects such as heritage, migration, health and migrant communities.
